A very important video explaining Dense Breasts

Just two months ago, we decided to raise funds for much needed technology supporting The Ottawa Hospital’s new Breast Health Centre. We set a lofty goal of $250,000 and knew we had our work cut out for us.
We are overwhelmed by the incredible support from our wonderful community. Thanks to your generosity and one extremely generous donor, our Tree of Hope Campaign, has exceeded our expectations and has raised $370 000 to date. That means The Ottawa Hospital now has the donations needed to purchase this dedicated Tesla MRI.
Although, she didn’t know us, Suzanne Halpenny read our story, followed our journey and knew she wanted to join us in our quest to bring this amazing technology to Ottawa. We are incredibly grateful to this amazing woman and her $250,000 donation to our campaign.
“While reading Mary Ellen and Rebecca’s story, it hit me like a bolt of lightning. I just knew I was going to do this and it was just something I felt was so right.” – Suzanne Halpenny.
Given the outpouring of support from our community, we have decided to continue to fundraise for The Ottawa Hospital’s new Breast Health Centre and we plan on donating all funds over and above the $250,000 towards the purchase of a GE Logic 9 ultrasound machine; another much needed piece of technology to keep Ottawa at the forefront of breast health.
Donations are still being accepted through our Tree of Hope Campaign online fundraising page. We believed we could and with your help, we did! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Suzanne and all of you who believed in this campaign, and in us. Together, we are all truly making a difference for our city.
